Triforge Now Integrates with Wahoo: What It Means for Your Triathlon Training Data

Wahoo ELEMNT users can now connect their devices directly to Triforge, giving the platform access to your complete workout history, power, heart rate, speed, cadence, and GPS data, without manual entry.

This is more than a convenience feature. It's a new layer of analytical depth.

Why Wahoo Data Is Different

Wahoo's ELEMNT head units are built around precision. The devices record high-resolution data across every workout, not summarised averages, but second-by-second streams that capture exactly how your body responded to load over time.

Most platforms stop there. They display the numbers and leave the interpretation to you.

Triforge takes a different approach. Our core philosophy is meaning not math - the goal isn't to surface more data, it's to tell you what the data actually means. With Wahoo integration now live, that analysis extends to everything your ELEMNT has been recording.

What Gets Synced

When you connect your Wahoo account to Triforge, the following data flows into your dashboard automatically via webhook, meaning new workouts appear in real time, not on a delay:

  • Cycling workouts - power output, normalised power, TSS, heart rate, cadence, speed, elevation
  • Running workouts - pace, heart rate, cadence, ground contact, elevation
  • Swimming workouts - distance, stroke rate, SWOLF, intervals
  • Route data - GPS tracks tied to each session

All three triathlon disciplines feed into the same analytics engine, giving Triforge a complete picture of your training load across swim, bike, and run simultaneously.

How Triforge Analyses Wahoo Data

Once synced, your Wahoo workouts become part of Triforge's pattern recognition layer. Here's what that looks like in practice:

Training Load Distribution Triforge maps your power and heart rate data across training zones over time, identifying whether your load is accumulating where your race demands it most. For ELEMNT users, this means your on-bike power data directly informs how your weekly and monthly training blocks are balanced.

Pattern Analysis One of Triforge's proprietary features uses Markov chain modelling to detect recurring sequences in your training, what typically follows a hard bike session, how your run pace distributes after high-load weeks, where your transitions between training states tend to break down. Wahoo's high-resolution data improves the accuracy of this model significantly.

Adaptive AI Coaching Insights Triforge generates daily coaching insights based on what your data is showing. With Wahoo now connected, those insights have access to your complete multi-sport picture, not just what you logged manually.

Setting Up the Integration

Connecting Wahoo takes under two minutes:

  1. Navigate to Workout Log → Integrations in your Triforge dashboard
  2. Click Connect Wahoo
  3. Authorise Triforge in your Wahoo account
  4. Your workout history syncs automatically

New workouts sync in real time via Wahoo's webhook system, as soon as your ELEMNT uploads to the Wahoo cloud, it appears in Triforge.

Data Sovereignty: Your Data Stays Yours

Triforge is built on a data sovereignty principle. Wahoo integration is additive, it sits alongside your native Triforge workout logs, not as a replacement. You can disconnect at any time, and your data remains in Triforge regardless.

This matters because most platforms create dependency. Your training history becomes locked to their ecosystem. Triforge stores your data independently, which means switching devices or platforms doesn't erase years of analytical history.

Wahoo + Strava: Full Coverage

With both Wahoo and Strava integration now live, Triforge covers the two most common data sources for serious triathletes. Whether you train with an ELEMNT on the bike and a Garmin on the run, or use Strava as your central hub, your data flows into one analytical layer.

Garmin integration is currently pending approval and will follow.

Who This Is For

Wahoo ELEMNT users who want more than a dashboard. If you're racing seriously, targeting a qualification, building toward an Ironman, or simply trying to understand why your performance peaks and dips the way it does, Triforge gives your Wahoo data a layer of interpretation it doesn't get anywhere else.

Triforge is a subscription-based triathlon training platform providing AI-powered analytics for age-group athletes. €12/month. Wahoo, Strava, and native workout logging supported.
